What do you say
when Big Oil wants to grab our public land for their own use? SHELL
NO!
Stop
the Public Land Giveaway to Big Oil!
For decades Washington, DC was known as the "Capitol
of Corruption." Shady back-room deals among the "Good Ole Boy"
network of crooks and criminals that this city's local government
was famous for were the norm, not the exception.
While responsible, hard-working local business owners
have invested their hard-earned money and sweat equity to help
revitalize the long-blighted H Street Corridor, DAG Petroleum and
Shell Oil Company are asking the City of Washington to give them
a rent free gift of our public land--to construct a Shell Gas Station
at 1400 Maryland Ave. NE because their private property is too
small.
DAG has enlisted old school DC politicians and political
operatives to influence this process so make sure our ELECTED and
appointed officials understand the Citizens of this city don't
support this public land giveaway.
1. Sign our petition!
2. Contact your city
officials!
Shell Oil made over $27 billion last year! Don't
you think they could buy their own property to build a new gas
station instead of taking ours through a shady back-room deal?
3. Tell Shell Oil what
you think!
4. Contact us if you want to help.
Help us fight back!
Sincerely,
"Shell-No.com and the Citizens and Residents of the
1400 Maryland Avenue NE Neighborhood" |
